 Well Test Application 
The Process IT Well Test Application is an OPC client, which acquires data from an OPC server and makes it available in Microsoft Excel.

 Features 

  • Vertical (hairline) cursors for start of test (green), end of test (red), and user-selected timestamps (yellow)
  • Tabular display of Current Values, Test Values (Averages) or values at the cursor

The Well Test application is also available as an Excel Add-In, and provides the same functionality as the desktop application.
     
     Well Test ActiveX Control (OCX) 
The ActiveX Control (OCX) version of the Well Test application can be embedded in an ActiveX control container, such as a operator station graphic, or a web page.

 
   
Well Simulation

The Process IT Well Simulator provides real-time and accelerated-time simulation of a subsea well.

It has been previously used for testing the subsea control system and production allocation system for a number of installations. As the simulator is an OPC server, we have also used during development of the well test applications.

There are a number of well and riser parameters that are used in modelling the well:

  • Well vertical depth
  • Well drilled depth
  • Productivity indices for oil, water and gas
  • Friction factors in the wellbore and riser

Certain fluid properties, such as the mass fraction of liberated gas, are parameterized as functions of pressure and temperature on the basis of flash calculations.
